At the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, Ferrari unveiled the successor to the F12 Berlinetta to help commemorate Ferrari’s landmark 70th anniversary of operation. Ferrari’s newest front midengined V-12 grand tourer was dubbed the 812 Superfast and benefited from an enlarged 6.5L F140 GA V-12 engine that produced 789 HP and 530 lb-ft of torque and was touted at the time to be the most powerful naturally aspirated production car engine ever produced.
From a styling perspective, the 812 Superfast was an evolution of the F12 Berlinetta, but with proportions and styling cues that paid homage to the great 365 GTB/4 Daytonas of the 1970s. However, unlike the Daytona, the 812 featured both active and passive aerodynamic devices to improve downforce and cooling, all the while simultaneously lowering the car’s drag coefficient. Subsequently, in 2019, a convertible version of the 812 Superfast was introduced, known as the 812 GTS and featuring an electronically operated hard top that automatically folded away behind the car’s large rear buttresses under a tonneau cover. Other improvements on the GTS included a start-stop system and closer gear ratios for improved acceleration, giving it a 0-62 MPH time of under 2.9 seconds.
Powered by a 6.5L V-12 engine and automatic transmission, this 2021 Ferrari 812 GTS finished in Nero (black) over a tan and black leather interior. Equipped with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and Brembo Extreme Design carbon-ceramic disc brakes with contrasting yellow brake calipers, this stunning 812 GTS also features Daytona-style seats, Scuderia shields, the power retractable hardtop and 20-inch alloy wheels.
